Welcome to The Sand Hut, a creative haven inspired by a magical day spent creating sand art with my grandchildren. Based in Caddington, Bedfordshire, The Sand Hut has been thoughtfully designed to offer a hands-on artistic experience for children aged 3 and above, while also being enjoyed by people of all ages.
At its heart, The Sand Hut celebrates creativity, imagination, and the simple joy of making something personal. Through vibrant colours, tactile materials, and charming designs, children are encouraged to explore their artistic side in a fun and supportive environment. At the same time, these calming, sensory activities are equally meaningful for adults and older people, making sand art a wonderful creative outlet across generations.
At The Sand Hut, I am dedicated to creating engaging sand art experiences that allow everyone to express themselves at their own pace. As I prepare for our launch in March 2026, I’m excited to share this creative space not only with children and families, but also with elderly participants in care homes and independent living settings, where creativity and sensory enjoyment can be especially rewarding.
Whether it’s a child creating a treasured picture, or an older adult enjoying the relaxing, nostalgic feel of working with sand, The Sand Hut offers a welcoming, inclusive experience for all. I am passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where creativity can flourish at any age—and I look forward to welcoming artists young and old to discover the magic of sand art together.
